Accommodation

We will be based at the very authentic small village of Bodrum (30min by mini-bus) called Gumusluk. This village is a famous location for artists and writers who find a lot of inspiration in protected nature and the calmness of the village. There are many cafes, restaurants, a Jazz Bar, crafts market and grocery shops but all at a very small scale. In fact you can walk the whole bay from top to bottom in 15minutes.

We are running the yoga holiday from Hotel Gumusluk, a lovely clean hotel with a great reputation for hospitality and a warm welcome with a swimming pool, and 30 seconds walk from the beach. There are 30 rooms in the hotel.
All rooms are comfortable, airy, have en-suite bathrooms and there is free wi-fi.

Other activities

There is so much to do and see in Bodrum that we wanted to give you space to explore the local area after your Mysore classes. Gumusluk itself has a great art/crafts market that is open daily, a walk through the shallow part of the sea to the Rabbit Island, daily boat trips, local markets; and Bodrum is a vibrant historic city with a castle, archeology museum, shopping, bars and nightlife. There are daily frequent mini-buses (dolmus) that take you into Bodrum and run up to midnight so you can enjoy a day out in the city centre. Or alternatively you may just wish to relax on the beach by the hotel reading a book, playing backgammon and sipping Turkish coffee.

This year we have arranged a day out on the boat and also a crafts workshop with the local artists to spend an afternoon being creative.
