What yoga is to me keeps evolving so it is hard to put down the experience into words. There is only knowing it. Astanga Vinyasa Yoga is a lifelong practice for me, a practice that unfolds the cycles within every moment of life through relationships, through awareness, through the breath and stillness. I started Astanga Vinyasa Yoga in 2003 with Susannah Hoffman who truly inspired me to learn more about the practice. Later I worked with Nigel Jones, Joey Miles, Eileen Gauthier and now with Denise Martin Harker.

It was in 2005 when I met John and Lucy Crawford Scott in Penzance that I moved from the gross to the subtle. As they pass the direct teachings of Guruji in its most traditional essence I knew that I wanted to attend their Training for Teachers in 2008 to become a dedicated teacher of Astanga Vinyasa Yoga. As well as the 240 hour diploma I hold in Astanga, I am also a qualified teacher by British Wheel of Yoga (2007) having worked with Maarten Vermaase, a Tibetan Buddist, studying yoga philosophy, pranayama and meditation.

My journey continues now with regular studies with John and Lucy, Denise Martin Harker, Lino Miele and Swami Nityamuktananda. So that I can teach this transformative practice, from a joyful and neutral place, not only in the class but also in everyday life as I connect with people.
