Laura Graham-Dullaert
I came to yoga with absolutely no idea of how it would change every aspect of my life. It soon became very clear to me that I had to share it with others, continuing my studies as a student but also teaching what I had learnt so far.
It’s something that I feel hugely honoured to immerse myself in. The physical practice of asana itself is fascinating-at once soothing and invigorating. It’s a place where I continue to learn more every day, whatever form my practice takes.
I am fortunate to have studied under some truly wonderful teachers since I started teaching myself-amongst them Daniel Aaron, Tim Miller, Simon Borg Olivier, Ana Forrest and John and Lucy Scott. Although I’m now comitted to Ashtanga as a practice my former work under teachers of others styles has also informed my understanding of how the body works and what I can offer as a teacher.
After diving in and out of just about every kind of yoga there is, always interested but not yet fully commited to any one method I came by chance to Stillpoint over a year ago, and have never really left since.
I am forever grateful to Oz and Scott for nurturing my practice, for encouraging me as a teacher, and for sending me to train as an Ashtanga Vinyasa teacher with their teachers-John and Lucy Scott. It’s a lineage that I am blessed to be a part of.
I now teach Ashtanga Vinyasa along with other forms of Hatha yoga for therapeutic purposes. Whatever the ‘aim’ of the student there is always something to be explored and discovered through practice.
